When Electronic Arts announced the $50 Star Wars Battlefront DLC pass last month, the publisher didn’t say much about what it would include. EA is still not ready to divulge all the details, but now we’ve learned some of what will be included. Speaking during a recent earnings presentation, EA COO Peter Moore teased that the four expansion packs will add “new universes” and more to the sci-fi shooter.
“What we’ve announced is four extra packs over the next 12-18 months coming post launch,” he said. “You’ll see new universes, you’re gonna see new player actions, obviously new weaponry as well.”
The Battlefront DLC pass sells for $50. Everyone who buys it gets access to all the new content two weeks before everyone else, as well as an exclusive “Shoot First” emote. …
Electronic Arts will evaluate “any and all opportunities” to support the Nintendo NX, the Mario company’s mysterious upcoming console, according to EA CEO Andrew Wilson. Speaking during a recent earnings presentation, EA’s chief executive was asked if the Battlefield and FIFA publisher plans to support the console, which could launch as soon as 2016, according to reports.
“I’m going to address that slightly differently,” Wilson said. “As we look to the future, we see a world where more people are playing on more platforms in more geographies than ever before. We see the platform cycle now not just as a traditional six-year console cycle, but as kind of a six-month refresh rate on mobile devices, smart TVs, Internet-enabled refrigerators, or whatever it might be.
“And what we’re doing in terms of resource allocation is really …
In addition to core shooter fans, Star Wars Battlefront is aiming to appeal to two other major categories of players: lapsed gamers and younger gamers. That’s according to EA CEO Andrew Wilson, who talked more about the soon-to-launch sci-fi shooter recently as part of the company’s latest earnings report.
“Anecdotally, what we have seen is that Star Wars Battlefront is bringing in two groups that are very important groups to us,” Wilson said. “One are gamers that have lapsed, traditionally who have been big gamers in the past and maybe haven’t played for a while, and [Battlefront’s beta has] certainly been a catalyst for those people to come back into the gaming universe as it relates to console. And two, onboarding a new younger age demographic.”
Wilson was asked what kind of overlap exists between …
A series of Fallout 4 gameplay videos have leaked ahead of the RPG’s launch on November 10.
The videos, which have been posted to Pastebin (via Eurogamer), are of course rife with spoilers. Anyone hoping to go into Fallout 4 clean may want to avoid these for now. But if you’re interested, you may want to act quickly, as it’s possible Bethesda will take action to have these videos removed.

Microsoft’s Xbox hardware team has created a custom Xbox One Elite controller concept themed around the new Ford GT, the car that is featured on the box for Forza Motorsport 6. As you can see, the controller sports a “liquid blue” design, just like the car, but the influences in design go much further. In fact, the controller’s triggers have been designed to look like gas and break pedals.
“On the subtle side this concept features carbon fiber in parts of the case to add strength and lightness,” Ford said. “Also the Ford GT steering wheel provided direction on the shape and ergonomic positioning of the invaluable left thumb stick as well as paddles for shifting that mimic the design of the Ford GT’s.”
“The battery (Sorry, no Eco Boost here) housing has …
